She said: "hey, can you leave the state?" I said: "Yeah, but I better wait... a little longer" She said: "Hey, don't worry about it, baby, I got a safe house for us." Take your time, have a little think about it I'll be fine, just day dreamin 'bout it... yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah... Oh! She said: "Well, I don't mean to interfere, ah, in your business, but I, think that it's hight time somebody steered, you towards a little kindness." I said: "Hey, don't worry about it, baby... you've got my trust." Take your time, have a little think about it I'll be fine, just day dreamin 'bout it... yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah... Oh! She said: "hey, can you leave the state?" I said: "Yeah."

On that pile of ashes, lies my old lover scars all apparent that I'd like to cover, but I can't get through the crowd, no they'll take me too, oh to their disassembly line. This doesn't mean that banging the milkman is an option, I'm best seen just getting my Sunday mail I've got nothing to hide except all that i know, oh except my entire life, oh they made him talk, I know, they made him talk, I know they made him talk, I know, I know, I know, I know, Oh... So I'll watch our neighbours dragged out by their feet with less ceremony than my last morning shit and I know my turn's coming soon, oh I should organize my affairs before the next full moon.... And I am no Connecticut Yankee, no I am no average heretic I'm a sympathizer with the wasted and sick and that's all they need to know the evidence is in, in their eyes, in their eyes... the verdict's in on me the verdict's in on you... But I am no prisoner any more

One Night 03:51
The sky is a mean shade of grey, today I'd trade it gladly, but I am about a thousand shades of baby blue and I would fly but I went, I went and gave my feathers away to a guy who had a case, but no pillow he told me I was his last hope for a place to rest his weary head And I, got the most peaceful night of sleep I finally felt I had earned my own immortal soul to keep I didn't question the reasons for the reward I reaped one night of rest for me one night of peace for me, yeah.... yeah.... Little clay man, little clay woman little clay world, that you made for them little hot lamp, take the shade away makes everything die, makes everything melt away peacefully, lovingly, oh, peacefully, lovingly...

Lullabye 05:55
I need a lullabye, something I could sing for you to make the bad things go away so you could go to sleep and I could go to sleep I needed one, years ago. And someone sang for me sat by the bed, held my hand until I fell to sleep until I fell to peace Hush, baby oh, hush, baby Hush, baby, sweet. You are safe, and sweet, and you'll be fine you are safe, and sweet, and you'll be fine I love you, and I know you'll be fine I love you, and I know you'll be I know you'll be... I need a sword and shield I need to learn to wield my best intentions with proper execution and not fall to pieces like you flew to pieces on me Hush, baby oh, hush, baby Hush, baby, sweet. You are safe, and sweet, and you'll be fine you are safe, and sweet, and you'll be fine I love you, and I know you'll be fine I love you, and I know you'll be I know you'll be...

about

This disc is a set of four songs that outline a series of spiritual epiphanies in my life. It is the precursor to "Alchemy of the Heart: Ashes to Angels"

"Lullabye" was written mainly for my brothers, but is a prayer for all.

"Safe House," I dedicate to my friend and cohort Penni Laine, for helping me out of a state that I no longer wanted to be in.

"Dissasembly Line" is about the revelation that it is a dangerous and isolating path to be true to one's self and persevere in any spiritual mission.

"One Night," is about the sacrifices made along this path and the understanding that in the end, we are all united in Creation and the constant, transitory existence that is life in our Universe.
